HV Kitchen

This family of five purchased a Highland Village home built in the 90’s that hadn’t been updated. The biggest priority was remodeling the kitchen. In addition to updating the fixtures and finishes, it also need some adjustments to the design to make it function better for this family with 3 young kids.

  • The old creamy Corian counters would get replaced with a white quartz and the tuscan backsplash would be get subway tile.

  • New GE appliances

  • The yellowed old cabinets would get a fresh coat of paint and new hardware

  • We would get rid of the bar height tier around the sink to make it easy for kiddos and guests to belly up to the bar and get a snack or chat with the host.

  • A built in banquette would be added to the breakfast area to give it a cozy feel and provide plenty of seating for family game nights.

Outside of the kitchen this couple had additional updates they needed to help make this home theirs.

  • We replaced all the lighting in the main areas of the house; this included new fixtures in the dining room and foyer, new LED retrofits in all of the old ceiling can lights, and we replaced all the ceiling “boob lights” (pics?…see below…) with LED trims.

  • A plug was added to the exterior wall to accommodate an outdoor TV.

  • The entire home was painted and some unsightly DIY projects were judged and found unworthy.

  • We created a beautiful built-in entertainment center with some upgraded electrical to keep cords hidden and running properly through the wall.

  • The down stairs powder bath got a new toilet, countertop, faucet, light & hardware. Those little updates gave it a dramatic change.

Honestly, I love how this family decorated their home. It was a lot of fun to come back for photos and see what they had to done it. I had a lot of trouble deciding what pics to include since they all looked so good.
